To raise public awareness of cyber security and enhance understanding of the cyber risks brought about by emerging technologies, common cyber threats and related protective measures, the Digital Policy Office (DPO) and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) are jointly organising the “Innovate with Grace, Peace in Cyberspace" interactive prize game. Through fun and engaging activities, participants can learn about different types of cyber threats and acquire practical cyber security knowledge and protection tips.

This seminar features expert talks on the safe use of AI, the latest cyber threats and relevant defence measures to deepen participants’ cybersecurity awareness. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) and the Digital Policy Office (DPO) jointly launched the Safeguarding Personal Data AI Sandbox (Sandbox). The Sandbox aims to provide a collaborative platform for participating schools, AI solution suppliers, the PCPD, the DPO, the Hong Kong Cyberport (Cyberport) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), with a view to fostering innovation while facilitating compliance with the relevant requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and promoting the safe and responsible adoption of AI technologies.

To further enhance public awareness of cybersecurity, the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT), the Digital Policy Office, and the Hong Kong Police Force today held the "Innovate with Grace, Peace in Cyberspace" Tram Promotion Launching Ceremony at the Whitty Street Tram Depot. Starting today until 24 September, two thematic trams will serve as "mobile cybersecurity education stations", touring Hong Kong Island for four weeks. Featuring winning entries from the AI-Generated Four-Panel Comic Contest and practical anti-scam tips, the trams aim to bring cybersecurity knowledge into the community and help citizens enhance their scam prevention capabilities in the AI era.

The arrested person was suspected to have disclosed the personal data of the data subject without his consent, in contravention of section 64(3A) of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO).
